After years of ruminating, the Forseths have finally taken the step and gone on their first geocache trip. When deciding on a cache to discover, we were amazed at the sheer number stashed within a 5 mile radius of our house...so we chose one approximately a mile away, hiding in plain sight in one of Chandler's busiest parks.
Off we rode on our bicycles, coordinates entered and Brandon manning the GPS. "Daddy, we're getting close!" Now, I know how accurate GPS devices are nowadays, I mean, no more scrambling by the military, right? But, seriously, once we figured out how to zoom that map in, it led us to the EXACT spot. Then, we just had to look very carefully...and we found our first cache!
A little Altoids box containing a few small odds and ends. Brandon took a pencil eraser and left a sticker. His first small, yet exciting, cache exchange.
We can't wait for our May trip to Inyokern...there are a few BIG caches up in those mountains that we want to discover!
