The Teddy Bears Have It

Friday, the boys and I joined many of our church moms' group friends for a tour of the Stuffington Teddy Bear Factory; one of only two teddy bear factories left in the United States. Notice in the picture above that the boys thought it necessary to bring their current bears along for the experience!

I really wasn't sure what to expect, but was surprised when we entered a single large room that handled all aspects of teddy bear creation. A few ladies were sewing arms, legs, and teddy bodies. A large cutting table ran along one side of the room where 40 layers of teddy fur were cut at a time from the pattern, and a large machine that filled those cute bears full of stuffing lay along the back wall.

The boys were excellent listeners and were rewarded with the treat of making their very own Teddy Bear!
