Noah's birthday arrived on Tuesday. Brandon's was on August 2. Each year I let the boys choose exactly what they want to do for the day. Now that Brandon is 5, yes FIVE, he has opinions on everything. What he would like for every meal. For dessert. And where exactly we would go, as well as how we would get there. Noah is a little more laid back, but still chose his event of the day.
Brandon informed me that he wanted Special K for breakfast, grilled cheese for lunch, and pizza for dinner. (Well, that was after I informed him that cake was not an acceptable meal.) Then, he was trying to decide between the science museum and the art museum, finally settling on riding Light Rail downtown for a Science museum adventure. We had to forgo the grilled cheese when our eyes lit upon the TGIFridays nestled in the Diamondbacks baseball stadium. Eating lunch while watching the crew prepare for a night game is much better than mom's grilled cheese!

And, my camera battery died and refused to take pictures with flash, so only took one more that morning at lunch:
That night, Brandon was able to have his cake and celebrate with the Flynn family:
On Noah's birthday, he couldn't decide what he wanted to eat. So, I decided for him all day long: yogurt with blueberries and granola, Einstein bagels and shmear for lunch, and sausages and peas for dinner. Yum! One thing Noah was sure of, though, was his desire to play at the Children's museum. So, off we went! Boys boys' favorite activity is the ice cream shop (picture at top of page), which amuses me just a little since we have play ice cream at home, too. Why is it that a little cart makes it so much more fun?!
Children's museum entrance...we were actually EARLY!!!
Making pizza in the kitchen:
Checking out groceries at the store:
Wild man Noah still obsessed with motorcycles. It's been over 6 months now...I'm getting worried.
Painting the castle:Noah's birthday cake and dinner will be Sunday night, though I suspect his cake will look quite a bit like his brother's since he also requested a train cake. Thank goodness. Love that train cake!!
Now, we just have to think about Daddy's birthday...maybe he'll have to take a day off of work so we can treat him to the day of his dreams!

GREAT blog! I want to come live with you! You guys have so much fun. Not sure I'll be that creative when Dodge comes of age for creative art projects, but I hope to be inspired by my big sister's energy and imagination.
Wow!! Every family with kids should treat them to the Stuffington bear experience, Made in America! Now the boys' bears have a black bear friend!
