Finally the Bolstad family got together for a mini-reunion! Our gathering spot was Boise, Idaho where Jon, Maud, Kari, and Heidi graciously openened up their homes and knowledge of the Boise area to feed us, entertain us, and keep us happy. Pictured above are almost all the kiddos: Lusineh (Ken's daughter), Paula and Gillian (Ian's daughters), Hailee (Kari's daughter), and Brandon and Noah. Missing are Ben and Brooke (Heidi's) but you'll find them highlighted below.
From bar-b-ques in the park to playground time in Maud and Jon's backyard, we spent as much time as possible out enjoying the weather. Brandon enjoyed meeting all of his cousins and was always asking, "will my friends be there?" He finally figured out all of their names by the end of the weekend, Paula being the first friend he could easily name. I did hear him call Hailee, "Maylee" the day we left! Noah learned a new sport from cousin Ben (just 4 months older than Noah). I guess we'll call it hockey-golf. They spent many a day batting a ball around the house, backyard, heck, anywhere they could find a ball and a stick!
We were also lucky enough to attend baby Brooke's baptism. She is a beauty and will surely charm the men when she's older. Good thing she lives in wholesome Idaho.
And finally, the Bolstad siblings, Bruce, Leona, Jon, and Alice. Missing is Mavis. We hope she can make it next time!
