This morning the boys and I took a sneak peek at the Chihuly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens. His colored glass sculptures are scattered throughout the garden and we had fun searching for them on our walk. Brandon kept wanting to see the "balls in the boat" again, so we passed that sculpture twice. Even Noah kept pointing when a new one would come into view! Just our little way to getting some culture into these young 'uns.
After naps today I thought we would do a little painting. Oh, that was a mistake. Noah decided that dipping the brush in the paint and shaking it all around was much more fun than actually painting on the paper. Mess. Mess. Mess. Brandon loved it though, and we did manage to paint each boy's foot to make a footprint on the paper canvas.
This evening, Dave went to DQ to get a treat while I put Brandon to bed. Dave has taught him to kneel beside the bed to say prayers so after we read stories, we prayed. With only a little coaxing, he said almost the entire Lord's Prayer by himself! What a holy little boy. :)
