The Birthday Bash

Actually, I should say birthday bashES.

Let me just walk you all through our crazy birthday month.

Birthday Bash #1
We begin the month with birthday boy #1. This year, we began by joining my friend Jen and her two little ones for breakfast at Liberty market. Jen shares a birthday with Brandon, so it was a fun birthday breakfast for all including cinnamon rolls, scones with clotted cream, blueberry pancakes and freshly made yogurt and granola. Oh, and of course, mochas for the moms.

From there, we went to Airworx to jump on trampolines with a group of friends from both preschool and church. Not a party, mind you. In fact, many of his friends didn't even know it was his birthday until one friend mentioned it when we got there. After that, we dined on pizza with a smaller group of his preschool friends (who were all at the playdate as well). Then, rest time at home. Admittedly, I try not to force rest time on a birthday, but that morning was packed with activity!

That evening, Brandon's favorite meal: pizza and cake.

Birthday Bash #2
We always like to celebrate birthdays with the Flynn family, so we invited them over for dinner in between the two boys' birth dates. As usual, they spoil our kids with fun presents. Here you see the boys opening their "create a creature/train by just adding water" gift.

Birthday Bash #3
Bash number three began by the boys assisting mommy in the kitchen to make the Robot Cake we would take to their birthday party at Great Play kid gym.

The boys invited 15 of their closest friends for 90 minutes of nonstop fun and excitement led by three coaches at the gym. The boys and every single one of their friends LOVED it! Here we see a coach leading them to the start of the obstacle course:

Noah, skipping, because that is what Buddy the orange "robot" said was next in the game they were playing:

That night, just by chance, Famous Daves was having their "Daves eat free" promotion, so Dave got a free meal, Brandon received a half price meal (due to his middle name) and Noah got his free birthday meal. Good food and fun day!

Birthday Bash #4
The final birthday celebration has arrived, and I'm sad to say I was completely caked out by then. For Noah's special day, we invited his friend Zach to join us at Joe's Farm grill for breakfast. Delicious pancakes paired with bacon and some yummy orange juice made for two happy boys. Then, Zach came back to our house for some playtime.

During rest time, Noah got to play Brandon's leapster the entire time...lucky birthday boy! We then went to pick up Brandon from school and continue the celebration with frozen yogurt and toppings at Zoya yogurt. A stop at a special bakery for delicious cupcakes for dessert that night was next. Noah's dinner pick? Pizza, mac n cheese, and cheese quesadillas. I nixed the third cheese dish and instead made a fruit salad (especially since he chose grilled cheese for lunch!)

Ah, the month of August is nearly over. So fun!

That looks like SO MUCH FUN! I can't believe all the great cakes and bashes the boys got. And Noah is looking older every month. So sweet.
