Look at THAT!

Today Laurie joined the boys and I on a visit to the Phoenix Art museum. I was a bit apprehensive of taking a 4 year old and a 2 year old to see "no touching" art, but figured it was worth a try.

The second sculpture we saw implemented coffins. Of course, Brandon asked, "what are those mommy?" I just answered "coffins" and left it at that. He said "coffins" and thankfully moved on. I'm not sure I was ready for that conversation!

Brandon's favorite part was the "boy's room" which was actually the kid's room. He loved putting together the puzzle modeled after a Modern Art piece while Noah created scenes by sticking magnetic objects to an impressionist painting.

As we wandered through the rest of the museum, Noah kept yelling "look at THAT!" and then "let's go!" as he shot towards a sculpture or painting that caught his eye. He loved pointing out the shapes used by the artists.

Both boys behaved spectacularly, neither touching anything and Noah slowing to a walk every time I asked.

As we left, Brandon said, "can we come back again sometime?"
