Last weekend we took a short hike at Usery Park (a Maricopa County park in Mesa, AZ). We typically go there to hike a steep trail up to a cave, but decided to try the shorter child friendly trail around a small bluff near the base of the mountain. The trail is a wide gravelly 1 mile loop with an option to go up onto the bluff. We took the loop and Brandon *loved* the hike, pointing out Saguros and Ocotillos as we hiked along the trail. Noah rode on Mommy's back for awhile and then decided he would much rather be mobile on his own and so walked about half of the way. We've been trying to get out on a hike every weekend to enjoy this beatiful weather. The threat of extreme heat is always just around the corner....
